Maple Leaf Quilters Guest Speaker Christ the King Church parish hall 66 South Main St. (Route 7) Rutland Doors open 6:30 p.m./ meeting begins 7 p.m. Guest Speaker Pamela Weeks, the Binney Family Curator at the New England Quilt Museum, will discuss Civil War Soldiers’ Quilts, along with the roles women played on the home front and the battle-field. During the war, an estimated 250,000 quilts were made, yet few have survived. On Wednesday, Weeks will lead a workshop from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m., at the Leahy Center at Rutland Regional Medical Center.
