Marathon Update 27: Cubero, NM. Distance: 27 miles 27 miles from Grants brought us to The Dancing Eagle Casino/RV Park today! From what I can tell, its really one of the only places between Grants and Albuquerque. We had road all day again today, but we didnt feel very welcome on it. We got a lot of unfriendly honks with one exception. 7 miles from the end, a guy stopped his car to give us water! This was actually great timing due to the fact that Mike and I ran out of water after having a water fight earlier in the day. #WorthIt All in all, it was a fun day. Im feeling good and excited to be getting closer to Albuquerque. I actually have an interview with an Albuquerque news channel (KOB) tomorrow at 11! The days seem to be going faster now that I have actual roads. It wont last much longer and rough weather it ahead, but for today it was nice and I am thankful.
