Marathon bombing survivor in ‘Yes to Dress’ finale By TRACEE M. HERBAUGHAssociated Press BOSTON (AP) – The Boston Marathon bombings took Rebekah DiMartinos leg, but they couldnt rob her of her joy as a new bride. Fridays season finale of the TLC reality show “Say Yes to the Dress” features DiMartino struggling to keep her balance on crutches while searching for the perfect wedding gown. Doctors amputated DiMartinos left leg below the knee last month after she endured 30 surgeries trying to keep it. Shes since been fitted with a prosthetic limb. DiMartino says standing long enough to try on a dress was one of the most physically exhausting things shes ever done. But she says she wont waste what she calls “a second chance at life.” DiMartino married her boyfriend last spring, and shes now training for next years Boston Marathon.
