March 18 -- “At the Break of Day” Did you have a good St. Patrick’s Day yesterday? Perhaps someone offered this familiar Irish blessing to you: “May the road rise to meet you, may the wind be ever at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, and the rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.” Often we speak of such blessings as bringing us the “luck of the Irish.” But when we do so, we fail to acknowledge God our heavenly Father as the Giver of all good things. James 1:17 says, “Whatever is good and perfect comes down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow.” Anything good happened to you? It’s not luck. It’s God’s blessings! Bro. Steve
