March 19, 2014 ~ Prayer pleases the Lord “The Lord detests the sacrifice of the wicked but the prayers of the righteous pleases him.” Proverbs 15:8 Praying anytime is a really good thing, but let your prays during Lent bring an extra blessing and connection to the Lord as you acknowledge and accept that your prayers are pleasing Him. Let us pray... Lord God, heavenly Father, Your unfailing Word tells me you are pleased by the prayers of the righteous, Look down now upon me, O Lord, and cloak me in righteousness, Not by anything I deserve or by deeds I have done, but by my acceptance of Jesus your Son and His blood which was shed upon the cross, Faith in Him is all I need to stand before you cloaked in righteousness and your mercy. Lord I come before you in Jesus’ name and know you hear my prayers. Your Spirit guides me O Father, My prayers are an offering to you, An offering of praise and thanksgiving for you have done so much for me and those I love, You have cloaked us in the veil of your love and mercy, Your hand is upon us and you set our path before us, How thankful I am for your love O Lord! Lord, thank you for Jesus, your Son, Empower me to walk in step with the Holy Spirit Allow the Spirit to direct my prayers so that they are pleasing to you, For when I pray, O God, I pray that your will be done, I submit my requests before you knowing you hear them even before they leave my lips you know them. You answer my prayers as is best for me and according to your will, for you have ordained my days.
