March 19th Messiah, Jesus would be of the tribe of Judah: GOD’S REMARKS RECORDED: “Judah, your brothers shall praise you; Your hands shall be on the neck of your enemies; Your father’s sons shall bow down to you. Judah is a lion’s whelp; from the prey, my son, you have gone up, He couches, he lies down as a lion, and as a lion, who dares rouse him up? The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, until Shiloh comes, and to him shall be the obedience of the peoples. He ties his foal to the vine, and his donkey’s colt to the choice vine; he washes his garments in wine, and his robes in the blood of grapes”–Genesis 49:8-11. “A lion has roared! Who will not fear? The Lord God has spoken! Who can but prophesy?—Amos 3:8. “Gilead in Mine, and Manasseh is Mine; Ephraim also is the helmet of My head; Judah is My scepter” —Ps. 60:8; 108:8. [Matthew 1:2-3; Luke 3:33; Hebrews 7:14-17]. GOD’S REVELATION REVEALED: “To Abraham was born Isaac; and to Isaac, Jacob; and to Jacob, Judah and his brothers; and to Judah were born Perez and Zerah by Tamar; and to Perez was born Hezron and to Hezron, Ram”—Matt. 1:2-3. “For it is evident that our Lord was descended from Judah, a tribe with reference to which Moses spoke nothing concerning priests—Heb. 7:14. “For it is evident that our Lord was descended from Judah, a tribe with reference to which Moses spoke nothing concerning priests. And this is clearer still, if another priest arises according to the likeness of Melchizedek, who has become such not on the basis of law of physical requirement, but according to the power of an indestructible life. For it is witnessed to Him, Thou art a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek”—Heb. 7:14-17.“….Stop weeping; behold, the Lion that is from the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has overcome so as to open the book and its seven seals”—Rev. 5:5. GOD’S RECIPIENTS RESPONSE: In the Old Testament Levi was the tribe of the priests. Judah was the tribe of the Kings. With Christ from the tribe of Judah, combined these two offices as predicted—Ps. 110:1, 4; Zech. 6:11-13. King Saul was the first King of Israel but he became disqualified and King David became king and kings flowed from his line down to Jesus who is King of Kings. And the Lord God called Jesus as a priest of the type of Melchizedek, not from the Levites. The only one qualified for these two offices in one person is our High Priest, Christ Jesus the King, the Lion of Judah, our Lord and Savior.
