March 2014 saw us heading up to the Eastern Highlands of Zimbabwe on an exploratory mission to see what the rivers up there hold for the sport of kayaking. Completely new to this type of kayaking, known as creek boating, we were lucky enough to be able to tag along with some really experienced paddlers like Shane Raw, Luke Longridge and Philip Claasens. These guys made the trip what it was and made sure everything went smoothly and safely and all round made it an absolute pleasure for those of us with less experience.
