March 22 – Mark 13:1-8 Just a thought: Herod’s Temple is gone. All that is left is one wall from the temple grounds, called the Western wall. The temple was magnificent. But now it’s dust. So much of what we think is really important ends up the same way. People will rise up and capture the world’s attention, and then they will be gone. There is only one Name that stands the test of time, only one cause that is worthy. You could argue that one of the most important words in the gospels is the word ‘watch.’ Stay focused, because Jesus will return. Prayer: Lord, help me to stay focused on your task to make disciples. Please forgive me for the things and the people that I have allowed to distract me from You.
