March 27th Jesus would proclaim acceptable year of the Lord: GOD’S REMARKS RECORDED: “Is this not the fast which I choose, to loosen the bonds of wickedness, to undo the bands of the yoke, and to let the oppressed go free. And break every yoke” —Isaiah 58:6 “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, Because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the afflicted; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to captivities, and freedom to prisoners; to proclaim the favorable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn,” —Isaiah 61:1-2. GOD’S REVELATION REVEALED: “…..The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim release to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to set those who are downtrodden, to proclaim the favorable year of the Lord’ And He closed the book and give it back to the attendant, and sat down; and the eyes of all in the synagogue were fixed upon Him. And He began to say to them, ‘Today this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing’” —Lk. 4:17-21. Mt. 11:5; 12:18. “…for He says, ‘At the acceptable time I listened to you, and on the day of salvation I helped you’; behold, now is the acceptable time,’ behold, now is the day of salvation” —2nd Cor. 6:2. GOD’S RECIPIENTS RESPONSE: Jesus, the Messiah, is the Anointed One, and when He was in the synagogue He was given a scroll with Scripture and Jesus rose up and began to read about the favorable year of the Lord. Before the coming of Jesus, ones sins could only be rolled forward year by year, but by the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus the Christ, all of our sins have been nailed to the Cross, and by accepting the Father’s plan in Christ we are saved in this day of Grace. This period from the day of Pentecost till we meet Him in the air —1 Thess. 4:13-18, is the day or period of time, or economy. Today is the day of salvation! We are not promised tomorrow for this decision!! Call on His name now!! And be saved!! Go down the Romans road with me. Read—6:23; then move to—3:23; then to—10:9-10; then to —6:1-4; then to —8:1; then to --12:1-2. Look at what Jesus said—Mk. 16:16; Mt. 28:18-20.
