March Madness of the weather variety will affect Arkansas this weekend. I am NOT expecting severe weather. It does look like parts of Arkansas could see a lot of rain...over 2 in some areas. The picture you see here is the NAM 4KM forecast model for radar at 1am Sunday. The heaviest rain will fall Saturday night and early Sunday morning before sunrise. Sunday mid-late morning through afternoon look dry as drier air wraps into the system from the west. By Sunday evening, temperatures will drop back to around freezing and parts of extreme northern Arkansas could see a changeover to a rain/snow mix or some light snow before the storm moves out completely. Overall....looks WET and very NOISY Saturday night/early Sunday but the severe weather threat stays well to the south. -DB
