March towards Naqashband Sahib on Saturday In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference has said that a march will be conducted from Jamia Masjid Srinagar to Mazar-e-Shuhada Naqashband Sahib in Srinagar on Saturday to pay tributes to the martyrs of 13th July 1931.The APHC in a meeting of its Executive and General Councils in Srinagar, today, with Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in the chair, said that a resolution would be passed on that day to draw world attention towards the unresolved Kashmir dispute. It said that demonstrations would also be held at all district headquarters to demand the repeal of black law, withdrawal of Indian troops and end to restrictions on Hurriyet leaders. Speakers at a seminar in Srinagar, today, deplored that Indian troops were massacring innocent Kashmiris due to the invoking of draconian laws in the occupied territory. They appealed to the world community to play an effective role in settling the Kashmir dispute. The seminar was organised by International Forum for Justice Jammu and Kashmir and the speakers included Muhammad Yasin Malik, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Muhammad Ahsan Untoo, Javed Ahmad Mir, Mohammad Yousuf Naqash and Abdul Majeed Zargar. Shabbir Ahmed Shah in a meeting with President of Belgian Association for Solidarity with Jammu and Kashmir, Paul Beermans, in Srinagar apprised him about the rights abuses perpetrated by Indian troops in the occupied territory. The General Secretary of Jamaat-e-Islami of occupied Kashmir, Dr Abdul Hameed Fayaz, addressing the annual convention of the Jama’at in Srinagar, said that permanent peace in South Asia was not possible without settling the Kashmir dispute as per the relevant UN resolutions. Hurriyet leaders, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai and Muhammad Yousuf Faslahi, addressing gatherings in Badgam and Pulwama said that the sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs had centre-staged the Kashmir dispute at global level. The General Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League, Abdul Ahad Parra, addressing a party meeting in Shopian reiterated the Kashmiris’ resolve to continue liberation struggle till securing their right to self-determination. In Islamabad, the APHC-AJK in a meeting, presided over by the Convenor, Syed Yousuf Naseem, expressed serious concern over gross human rights abuses by Indian troops in occupied Kashmir.
