Marchfest 2014 - A little review. Venue - Founders Park Historical Village. A wicked setting for a boutique festival and made it feel like we had taken over a little town. The main beer hall was in a big hall with hop vines decorating it. The main bar was one big long bar with heaps of servers pouring all the festival beers which made it easy to drink your way down the menu. Everything was nice and close and easy (no lines). The weather was amazing with plenty of shade to escape the sun. Beer - This years theme was single hop with each of the 15 breweries given a different NZ hop to play with. Looking at the beer list I was super excited with everything from SMaSH to Double Barrel Aged. Unfortunately hardly any beers actually showcased the hops as expected and many were uninspired. Highlights came from Malboroughs Renaissance and 8-Wired with Riwakawaka and Cross-Wired both highlighting the hops and giving some big punch for
