I am also unpopular in some circles because of my drive, tenacity, and directness but like many things I am an acquired taste and not for everyone. While many people are content to sit back and complain about how bad the animal shelters are and how poor the management is or sign meaningless petitions and send emails that will never be read I am and have been working to try and effect real change to actually benefit the animals and give them better lives and the only way to do this is to do what the bad guys are doing only do it better. I am working to make changes to the state laws so the various cities, counties, towns, and other municipalities will have no choice but to either obey the state or to be in violation of them and this is the only way to effect any lasting change. Like many I have always believed that the ASPCA, and the HSUS actually stood for and worked towards providing better lives for the animals and effecting changes in the laws and attitudes of those in positions of authority and I was wrong! Instead of working to help the animals the ASPCA and HSUS actually exist and operate to work against and interfere with any person, rescue, shelter, or organization that exists to try and help animals. Every dollar that is donated to the ASPCA and HSUS goes not to help animals but to pay vastly over-inflated salaries and fund campaigns of deliberate mis-information which are initiated by these organizations. If anyone really wants to donate to help the animals their money is better spent giving to any of the rescues, humane societies, or shelters in the local areas. As much as money is always needed times is needed as well so volunteering is just as vital for these groups. I am attaching a link to a very well researched and written article by Nathan Winograd a person who I do not always agree with but in this case he nailed it. I urge everyone who cares for animals to read his article, make your own decisions, and act according to your heart and your head. Thank you. huffingtonpost/nathan-j-winograd/peta-aspca-hsus-shelters_b_2696911.html
