Marge Update by Rick Chaboudy After being hit by a car several days ago, Marge was wobbly but able to take a few steps on her own. She could make her way to the food dish and manage to get herself into Melvins bed. A few days later, Marge started to regress. Although her appetite was unchanged, she could no longer right herself and she had problems navigating the food dish. For the last couple of days, I had to assist Marge and her healthy appetite by feeding her with a fork until I could get her in to see a veterinarian. Yesterday, I dropped her off at Dr. Polas office at Enterprise Road Animal Hospital. He examined her, took x-rays and fortunately, found no broken bones or spinal injuries. Dr. Pola believes that her run-in with the car caused head trauma which in turn caused swelling of the brain. Marge was given an antibiotic shot and placed on steroids. We will continue to monitor her and hope that Marge gets back in charge.
