Maria Gabriela is four years old; she lives with her parents and baby brother Juan, who is a year old. Adopt-a-Village plans to initiate a Family Garden Program for Maria’s parents and neighbors in their village of San Carlos, once the rainy season ends and the ground can be planted. Maria and Juan will benefit from this new source of nutrition that they desperately need in this impoverished Mayan community.
