Maria Kennedy’s Sizzling Bolt (Westmead Scolari/ Sizzling Gina) was again the star performer in the second round of the Dobbs Oil N1 at Kilkenny on Wednesday. He bumped his way past fast starting Mr Hooch on the first bend and was well clear into the back straight. Sizzling went on to win by some thirteen lengths from Barefoot Arthur in 29.15 with Mr Hooch a length third. The second heat was claimed by Martin Boran’s Deenside Hero (Hometown Boy/ Deenside Traz) which took it up from Man Persie on the second bend and went on to win by three lengths from that rival in 29.41. The third heat went to John Kennedy’s Rayvin Lad (Rayvin Giovanni/ Congo Keano) which showed fine early pace to lead on the first bend and he won by two lengths from Droopys Rosetta in 29.33. Paddy Sinnott’s Blackstone Marco (Head Bound/ Blackstone Mini) was an all the way winner of the final heat when breaking fast and running out a four and a half length winner from Goldmine Legacy in 29.24.
