Marian had a great showing at the Hoosier Science & Engineering Fair last week. Each of our 5 participants won at least one special award. Shannon Hendricks: ASM Materials Education Foundations award for the Most Outstanding Exhibit in Materials Science Nick Lohr: Mu Alpha Theta Mathematics Honor Society Award Gabby Lucchese: Air Force Award, Surgeon Generals National Health Award Julia Hunckler: Award of Excellence from the U.S. Office of Naval Research, American Meteorological Society Award, Stockholm Junior Water Prize Alex Frank: Air Force Award, Les Willig Spirit of Science Award, 2nd place overall 12th grade project In addition, Shannon Hendricks and Alex Frank were chosen to advance to the INTEL International Science & Engineering Fair in May, to be held in Los Angeles, CA. (For anyone keeping count, that makes 32 Marian students competing at the International Fair since 1990).
