Mariana Costa-Brown introduced our guest speaker Roy Richardson, founder and board member of CHIPS House Transitional Living Program. After his foster son suffered a Traumatic Brain injury in an auto accident in the 1980’s, Roy and a group of other parents founded CHIPS House as a non-profit residence program in 1994. Now in its 20th year, they have two homes with 21 residents. The program offers a variety of activities, movies, beach visits, an expanded arts program, gardening activities and a Greenhouse built and led by a 17-year old Eagle Scout who raised the funds ($10,000).
