Marijuana operation busted On Monday, November 10, Agents with the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office Marijuana Investigative Team, with assistance from personnel from the California Department of Fish and Wildlife Marijuana Enforcement Team, conducted an investigation at a rural piece of land located off Shingletown Ridge Road south/west of Shingletown. During an over flight, a large marijuana cultivation site had been located. A total of 1049 growing marijuana plants were located and subsequently eradicated. A large metal barn was located on the property during the investigation. A Shasta County Superior Court Search Warrant was granted for the metal barn. During the subsequent service of the search warrant of the metal barn, processed marijuana was found hanging and being stored in large plastic totes. The processed marijuana was later weighed and had a net weight of 541 pounds. Agents located and subsequently seized a Caterpillar 257B rubber tracked Skid Steer that was used to facilitate the illegal operation. During the investigation contact was made with Craig and Adam Van Cleve at the property. Both were subsequently cited and released for mariuuana cultivation, possession of marijuana for sale, conspiracy and water diversion.
