Personally created and presented by Maria Shriver, the Minerva Award is given annually to California’s most remarkable women – those who have made extraordinary contributions to the state’s families and communities. Past recipients of the Minerva Award include Betty Ford, Dr. Sally Ride and other influential women. The First Lady recognized Marilyn’s many achievements, which are now on permanent display at the California Museum for History, Women and the Arts in Sacramento California.
