Marina Beach Rest Home is set within a delightful garden, offering the ideal blend of high quality care within a comfortable and peaceful environment. The Home currently offers 5 single bedrooms, shared rooms, ensuite rooms, self-contained flats and a high dependency unit. A qualified team is on duty 24-hours a day, 365 days a year and each resident receives a tailored and regularly updated care plan on moving in. Domestic support ensures that all the household chores are taken care of, allowing residents to fully enjoy their surroundings. Services offered include:- Palliative Care • Respite Care • Convalescent Care/Step Down Care • Own Furniture if required • Wheelchair access • Gardens for residents • Mobile Phone and Skype • Television point in own room • 24 Hour CCTV Coverage • Medical Call Out Facility. Breakfast is brought to residents own room each morning or taken on the Verandah. Principal meals are served by staff in the dining room, adjoining the conservatory overlooking the grounds and gardens. If residents prefer a little privacy on occasion, or are feeling under the weather, arrangements can be made so that meals can also be enjoyed in the comfort of their own room. A varied menu includes much local produce and special dietary requirements can be catered for. A small tuck shop is available and those residents who wish to keep beer and wine in the fridge are welcome to do so. Our principal aim is to provide a home with a real family atmosphere for all our residents, coupled with respect for their privacy, individual rights, independence and freedom of choice. Our extensive programme of daily activities, including one-to-one activities, ensures that residents are continually stimulated and that individual needs and preferences are expertly catered for. The delightful grounds can also be fully enjoyed on accompanied walks with a member of our team. Successfully caring for a person with dementia involves good communication, patience and listening skills, positive physical contact and creative thinking to encourage and develop the persons existing skills.
