Marine corps times posted an article about this. This is a very powerful video about a very serious issue. Civilians are so quick to judge and so quick to accept the freedom that millions of veterans just like these have so desperately fought for. There is a huge huge HUGE miscommunication between civilians and veterans. They may look different, talk different, and think differently but veterans are still people. To be perfectly honest they are more than people. They are heroes. I dont care what you think of me, I stand for the veterans. I stand for the men and women who served honorably. The few that answered a call to take the road less traveled and risk it all. I stand for those people, not just because I am one, but because the hardship and struggle is real. They stood for you, why wouldnt you stand for them? Be a listening ear. Be a shoulder to cry on. Be a friend.
