Marion County School of Music and its subsidiary Marion County - TopicsExpress

Marion County School of Music and its subsidiary Marion County Christian Academy needs your HELP. After the tragic and devastating fire, the costly but necessary move to the parish hall, and then a few months later another costly move to the college campus, we believed we were set to move forward. Unfortunately, we found out we needed to move again a day before the beginning of the school year 2014-15. As anybody who has had to relocate even once will tell you, moving is hard on the finances. We find our school is burdened with bills that were not part of our original operating budget and they MUST be met. Between very costly moves, extremely expensive repairs and the many other challenges that any small private school faces, we are in desperate need of financial donations, or at least a short-term lending situation. This is truly urgent. To add to this mix, we are feeding children a hot meal Monday through Friday, many of them from single parent homes, low-or-no-income, and children at risk, in our After School program. We have 7 families who cant pay tuition at the Academy, but need what we offer, because they would fail in public school (no individual attention) and they come to school anyway. We have 2 boys that were burnt so badly in a fire that they were made fun of in public school, and failed. They are now A-B Honor Roll, their parents cant pay. We have another family with 3 children, and just the mom supporting them on a very low wage. She struggles just to put them in school uniforms. They get food, so she wont have to feed them. She can hardly keep a roof over their heads. We have a family of 5 children, the father is disabled, taking very strong pain meds. The mom is working, and holding up all payments, food bills etc. They are in our after school program. And we feed them. I have a young lady who is 22 years old operates NOW at 4th grade level, who came to us not being able to walk up the stairs, due to serious birth defects, and 8 major surgeries that left her completely disabled. She now rides a horse. But the grandma can only pay me out of her disability. Please, consider helping us - even if it s just a small amount. At this time every amount will help us maintain and do what we have been called to do. We are working on grants, fundraisers and many ways to support the school’s financial stability, but much like all family budgets, there are those times when too much happens and the finances are stressed. We are requesting your open heart and hand to help us with the challenges facing us right now. Please, contact us TODAY at 843-618-1472, or inbox us on facebook, send us a note via e-mail: [email protected] or mail us your contribution to: MCSM - MCCA , PO Box 1895, Marion, SC 29571. If you would like to post funds directly to the school’s bank account, please ask us for the wire transfer instructions, and we will gladly forward the information to you. All donations are tax-deductible and we will gratefully provide a receipt for all of your donations. Thank you so much and God Bless, Rose C Massey, Director and the Members of the Board https://facebook/scmusicschool
