Marissa Alexander has been released from jail, though she was released to house arrest for two years. Because after all, she is a criminal. She shot a warning shot at her admitted abuser. And she had the nerve to use the Stand Your Ground defense. Didnt she know that the color of her skin made her ineligible for that defense? SMH. I am thrilled that she is going home. I am disgusted that she is still being treated like a criminal and I am pissed that she spent all of this time in jail already. I guess as a black American I should just be grateful for the little things....
