Mark 10:23-27 Then Jesus looked around and said to His disciples, - TopicsExpress

Mark 10:23-27 Then Jesus looked around and said to His disciples, How hard it is for those who have riches to enter the kingdom of God! And the disciples were astonished at His words. But Jesus answered again and said to them, Children, how hard it is for those who trust in riches to enter the kingdom of God! It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God. And they were greatly astonished, saying among themselves, Who then can be saved? But Jesus looked at them and said, With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible. NOTE: This is not a very popular message in our society today. Jesus had just ministered to a rich guy, that He loved. He showed him how to have treasure in heaven. The man trusted more in his riches, than in God. He proved this when he walked away. You see, when your rich, you can go where, and whenever, however you want to go. You have dominion. The Lord wasnt trying to separate him from his money, as much as He was trying to show him, where his heart was. Once you let go of everything, your at the mercy of God. He has dominion over where and how you do everything. You are no longer lord of yourself, but He has become Lord of your life. The Word said that the Lord loved him. The Lord, actually wanted to see him blessed, even more than he was already blessed. You see, when you sow into the Kingdom of God, youre going to be blessed thirty, sixty, hundredfold. All he had to do was be obedient. Ive seen old pictures of people, jumping out of buildings, when they found out the stock market crashed in the depression. Again, their trust, was not in God, but things. What good is it, if we gain the whole world, and lose our soul. There is nothing, that means more to us, than where we spend eternity. We are not guaranteed another breath. Is there anything the world is offering you, that means more than eternal life? Dont let these things take dominion over you. Become a steward of God, and use everything Hes given you, as He sees fit., and let the King of Kings have dominion.
