Mark 13:5 And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you: When asked about signs of the end times, The Lord started with, Make sure that you are not deceived by men. Why did he do this? Well I have heard from the Lord, theres a consumption determined upon the whole earth. Isaiah 28:22 Now therefore be ye not mockers, lest your bands be made strong: for I have heard from the Lord God of hosts a consumption, even determined upon the whole earth. This is the day that God is sending a delusion on the earth as we near the end of the time of the gentiles. It is my unwanted opinion, that the only way so many individuals join arm and arm to believe so many lies is that God had ordained it to be so. Remember the 10 virgins that went to meet the bridegroom (a midnight event)? Five were foolish and five were wise yet as the bridegroom tarried, all 10 slumbered and went to sleep. So how serious is the deception of mankind? Well both the wise and the foolish virgins went to sleep. So, how serious is the deception that the Lord is referring to? Consider the last supper fellow saints of God. Jesus clearly stated that one of the twelve would betray him. (another night time event) They all heard him say it. Furthermore just like the events unfolding in this day, the Lord told those at the table that he was going to tell them about the conditions and events beforehand so that when they (the events), happened, all would know and believe that they were seeing the very power of God in operation. Peter pressed the disciple closest to Jesus, for an answer. He said, ask the Lord which one is hes talking about? Peter said, to the disciple leaning on Jesuss breast, find out who the betrayer is. Jesus said (to all of them), Its the one that I dip in the dish and then put it in his mouth. Hes the one whos going to betray me. John 13:26 Jesus answered, He it is, to whom I shall give a sop, when I have dipped it. And when he had dipped the sop, he gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon. Now follow this sequence of events that took place at the last supper then, allow the Spirit of God to relate them to this day and the call of God to become aware of the times and seasons that we are in. Let the Lord press upon our hearts the necessity to wake up in the Holy Ghost. 1. Jesus is asked about the time of the end and his first statement is instruction to beware of mans deception. 2. Jesus then states that he will be betrayed. 3. The disciples ask Jesus indirectly who will betray him. 4. Jesus tells them and shows them who will be the one that betrays him. 5. The disciples totally miss the betrayal and deception even though it takes place right in front of them. They actually hear what Jesus says then watch it play out. Note: The disciples missed the deception because it hid under the guise of taking care of the poor. John 13:29 Note: Today the deception continues to hide behind the lie of taking care of the less fortunate. The eagle is standing upon its feet and a mans heart is beginning to pound in its chest. Its ability to soar in God given freedoms are quickly being hampered due to the wings being ripped from its body. Daniel 7:4 The first was like a lion, and had eagles wings: I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man, and a mans heart was given to it. The good news is that even though the wise virgins went to sleep and even though the disciples were totally oblivious to the deception taking place right before their eyes, The Word of God will always be fulfilled, God and the Son of man is glorified. Every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God. John 13:31 Therefore, when he was gone out, Jesus said, Now is the Son of man glorified, and God is glorified in him. Isaiah 28:22 Now therefore be ye not mockers, lest your bands be made strong: for I have heard from the Lord God of hosts a consumption, even determined upon the whole earth. John 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. 35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
