Mark 5:25-34 How strong is your faith? Is the strength of your faith evident in your life? Mark shares the story of a woman who had suffered an ailment for a number of years. She did not know Jesus, but it hearing of Him accepted who He was and what He was capable of. In fact, her faith in Jesus’ ability to heal her was so strong that she believed that all she had to do is get near Him and touch the edge of His garment (a little bit of Jesus can go a long ways!). When she does touch the garment of Jesus she is instantly healed and Jesus does an interesting thing. He brings attention to it. See Jesus could have just let the incident go, after all it’s not like He had a limit on the number of people He could heal. Instead He made an issue of it announcing that someone in the vast crowd around Him had “touched” Him. But He was referring to the physical touch but rather the special connection to Him that is important. The same connection He wants us to have with Him and that is why this story is shared with us. It was not the physical touch that healed this woman; it was her faith in the One who could make her whole. Test your faith today. Get near to Him. He stands ready to respond to your need to make you whole. Love you guys.
