Mark Anthony Nya The gospel is timeless and universal. Its as the same as it came till this day. Its applicable this day as it was those days. The gospel that brings faith produces its fruit which is repentance unto righteouness! At pentecost those men where slain when they heard the gospel, and they cried out What shall we do to be saved? In no vague term but in brevity came to piercing response from the apostle Peter: REPENT... Men cant have a new life if they havent put of the old one. Repentance comes when they have realized the filth of it and are convicted by the guit of sin. After this proceeds REGENERATION, which takes place as the blood of Christ cleanses them from sin and its grip by the power of the Spirit. Now, the old man is denied, defeated and destroyed being nailed to the cross of Christ. He is crucified! Then can the new man created after God in righteousness and holiness is born in that (former) sinner! Now the fruit of repentance is seen in the works of that new man BORN OF GOD! Glory to God! No short cut! Such man is now a slave to righteousness and is ALL Christs. And totally devoted to Him, because He has been bought and no longer live for Himself. He is not struggling to please Him, because Christ love is now shed abroad in his heart. He now longs to please Him and is willing to give up EVERYTHING for Christs sake. His life and the things of this world no longer appeal to him, because he is dead; he has been crucified -- Christ is now His life! Hallelujah!
