Tenorio dominated with 17 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists, giving Barroca fits on the defensive end. But it was the second-year guard who had the last laugh as the Mixers ended up with the 89-86 victory. “Ang mindset talaga namin is to stop LA kasi yung last two games nila, maganda nilaro niya,” said Barroca in an exclusive interview with InterAKTV. “Kaya sabi ni coach, no matter what happened kailangan pigilan namin si LA. I-limit namin yung touches niya pero wala talaga eh, kumpiyansa siya at magaling talaga.” Although Barroca lost the personal duel, the former Far Eastern University guard had his shining moments in the Manila Clasico encounter, nailing back-to-back jumpers that were crucial in preserving San Mig Coffee’s win. “Instinct na lang yun,” said Barroca about the shots. “Open kasi ako and responsibility ko rin na itira ko talaga.
