Mark Begich has taken a deep dive into Washington politics. He has blatantly put President Obama and Harry Reid’s priorities before the priorities of the Alaskans he was elected to represent in the Senate. Begich joined with Harry Reid to kill a bipartisan Sportsmen’s Bill, sponsored by his fellow Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski, which would better protect hunting and fishing in America — a critical bill for two of Alaska’s key industries. Begich is dangerously close to Reid and is adding to Reid’s obstructionist standstill in the Senate — where more than 300 Republican House-passed bills are waiting to reach the Senate floor for a vote. In the Senate, Mark Begich has been unable to get a single vote on any of his legislative amendments. Instead of standing up to Harry Reid and fighting for Alaskans, Begich is joining forces with Reid and liberal Democrats in the Senate, creating more gridlock in Washington, and still not getting anything accomplished for Alaskans. Health care, jobs, the Keystone Pipeline and Obama’s war on coal will all be decided during the six years that Alaskas next Senator will be in office. Will your senator represent you and your family’s interests or continue to simply do whatever it is that President Obama wants him to do? With Begich’s failed leadership in the Senate and the unforgettable fact that he votes with President Obama 97% of the time, he is tearing down Alaska instead of building it up!!! It is time to relieve Begich of his post!! ~Alaskan Eagle III
