Mark Twain said it best about illusions at the end of life. He was interviewed on attaining his 75th birthday and was asked what was the most profound thing he had learned in life. After my first 25 years of life, I realized I had always worried what people thought about me and my station in life. After the next 25 years of life when I became 50 I realized I had purposely lived my life in a way to show people I didnt give a damn what people thought of me. When I became 75, it finally dawned on me that no one was ever thinking about me.
