Mark lays the Marker down for the Winter Grand Prix After a summer plagued with injuries our soon-to-be Ultra-Marathoner Mark Richardson took all the glory at our 3rd WGP of the series. With a comfortable handicap he ran a PB 21:07 for maximum points. 2nd was our debutant Andy Robertson who ran a very strong 21:54. However its Michael Day who will be most pleased with the nights efforts, not only did he finish 3rd but also takes the lead in the WGP series. Joe Colligan only trails him by a few points, and as they are both running really well they could be battling out all season long. Our fastest senior of the night was Harry Coates, finishing in a time of 16:38, Matt Darbyshire was 2nd with a 18:09. Penny Sinclair was our fastest female with a strong performance in 21:54. A big well done to Olly Aird, our Junior, finished with a PB of 19:51, running sub-20 mins yet again. Massive thank you to Kris Stobbs, Steve Garrett and Jackie Garnett for an excellent job at officiating and time-keeping. And to Leanne Smith for helping me with the times. Our next race is the Durham Cross country on the 22nd November. Make sure you take part, 30 points are on offer for your third XC of the season. See attached results, and current standing.
