Mark your calendars!! The AMSA Community Healers Inspiring Tomorrow (CHIT) Chat webinar for November will focus on childhood obesity and promises to be extremely interesting and educational! Join us Tuesday, November 19th, 2013 from 7-8pm EST for a webinar jointly hosted by the American Medical Student Association (AMSA) and the American College of Preventive Medicine (ACPM). This will be the third webinar of the Community Healers Inspiring Tomorrow (CHIT) Chat series, which will run monthly throughout the academic year, focusing on a wide range of preventive medicine topics. This webinar will feature Dr. Michael Goran, Ph.D., Professor of Preventive Medicine, Physiology & Biophysics, and Pediatrics at the University of Southern California - Keck School of Medicine and the Director of the Childhood Obesity Research Center (CORC). Dr. Goran will give an overview on the extent of childhood obesity in the US, as well as consequences of and clinical preventive measures that can be taken.
