Market Report for Mid Cape Farmers Market Wednesday October 23, 2013, located on the lawn of the First Baptist Church, Main St Hyannis, from 2pm to 6pm. Today Wednesday the 23rd is our last Market for the season! We are still all about the fall harvest! We will have pumpkins (large and small), acorn squash (acorn squash is great baked!), butternut squash, turnips, eggplant, broccoli, beets, onions, spaghetti squash, cauliflower (have you seen the purple cauliflower from Crow Farm?), potatoes, corn, leeks (straight to you from Not Enough Acres Farm), apples and more! With all this great weather we’ve been having there are also available poblano peppers and green peppers, tomatoes, (both cherry tomatoes and beef steak), kale, carrots, zucchini squash and yellow squash, green and yellow beans, broccoli, swiss chard, and sweet corn. For herbs and lettuce we’ll have arugula, ovation blend and basil. We’ll also have herbs and oils from Thyme after Thyme, and of course raw honey and goat cheese from Not Enough Acres Farm. There are also breads, donuts, pies and cookies from Great Cape Baking, Common Ground and Crow Farm. And, don’t forget to order your chicken, turkey or duck now from Miss Scarlett’s Farm!
