Social Media Marketing Intern Posting Summary: MarketBuzz Media is seeking an outgoing and resourceful marketing assistant to help with developing, updating and maintaining the prospect database for email campaigns and other marketing initiatives and the growth and management of our social media properties and programs. Duties are performed under the direction of program or other assignment personnel, but there may be requirements to work independently. Flexibility in schedule. Great Opportunity for recent grads!! Duties/Responsibilities: • Conduct web based research of companies/decision makers within identified target markets • Cross-check and verify information as needed by contacting key contacts • Gather data and prepare prospect lists • Manage email lists including new subscriptions, opt-outs and bounce back • Gather and enter data in content management system organize data and update marketing database • Assist in researching and developing content for social media properties • Implement strategies developed by marketing team to grow social media community Skills/Qualifications: • Clear understanding of data collection and analysis • Effective written and verbal communication skills • Positive and outgoing attitude • Highly motivated with ability to work independently and with a team • Good problem solving skills • Required computing skills – Microsoft office (Excel, Word) • Knowledge of social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Google+) • Must be comfortable making outbound calls • Knowledge of CRM is an asset • Customer service or sales experience is an asset Education: • Post-secondary degree or minimum of 2 years towards a degree in a related field Please include a link to your online profile or website, blog or video in your cover letter & Resume.
