Marketers are generally in the business of being loud and trying to get as much attention as possible. Im not a marketer. Im a relationship builder. And I build relationships one conversation at a time. That conversation can be on the phone, face to face, in a Facebook thread, etc it doesnt matter. Im not putting down marketers in any way, Im just pointing out a huge distinction. Marketers by definition are in the business of using loud megaphones. Ive been blessed to build a by invitation and referral only type of business without any traditional marketing or advertising by speaking slowly, softly and sincerely. The paradox is that slowing down and focusing on one conversation at a time will get you farther faster than marketing in most cases. Just a thought regarding growing your biz as we head into 2015. Id love to hear your thoughts on this if youd like to share. ツ
