Marking 8th March International Women’s Day “Those who do not move do not notice their chains.” -Rosa Luxemburg After years of democracy women’s rights are yet a distant dream. On the occasion 8th March as an International Women’s Day, let us take solemn pledge to fight an indefatigable struggle against the last citadel of patriarchy, male chauvinism and political prejudices against women. The women struggle is the struggle for equality and the life of dignity and self respect that is not mere self interest rather imagining a society where male and female all are free. Without liberating women even male are also not free. It is a joint venture. The time demands urgency, without delaying a second, to Shake and Break all repressive practices like Khap, Honor Killing, Child Marriages, Female Feticide and so on. On this auspicious day AISF renews its commitment to carry forward the struggle to achieve the free society where women can also feel the same space to live up their aspirations and make their being.
