Markundal & Kondebal Challo’ On Wednesday, Protests On Friday : Geelani =>Turning down the government investigation of Sumbal incident where two youth were killed by army, Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman, Syed Ali Geelani has called for “Markundal & Kondebal Challo” on July 3, and protests against the killings after the Friday Prayers on July 5. “The government announcement to investigate the killing of Irfan and Tariq in Markundal is nothing but to kill time so that people forget the incident and the martyrs,” Geelani said in a statement. Calling for “Markundal & Kondebal Challo” on Wednesday July 3,Geelani appealed people to reach both the villages where joint condolence rallies will be held. He also appealed people to organize protests against the killing of Irfan and Tariq on Friday, July 5, after the Prayers. Irfan and Tariq were killed by army a day before in Markundal village near Sumbal.
