Maroon 5s New Video Where They Crash Weddings Was Staged Last week, MAROON 5 released their new video for Sugar, which shows them crashing peoples wedding receptions and performing. At the beginning, the band makes it sound like it was spontaneous. But we knew it had to be pre-planned to some degree, because the band was given the time and space to set up at each of the receptions, and clearly they had plenty of cameras and production staff in tow. Maroon 5s rep said, quote, Only the grooms knew in each case. The band is not sure if the grooms disclosed it to their bride and wedding party. But now, theres word that the whole thing was COMPLETELY staged. A new report points out that at least one of the grooms, one of the brides, and several of the surprised wedding guests are actually professional actors. The same guy who directed the Owen Wilson / Vince Vaughan movie Wedding Crashers directed this video, and the Asian wedding in the video is very similar to the one from the movie. And the parents in the video were actors.
