Marquez versus Alarado was a good fight, but it is still not the fight people want to see and it wont LEAD to the fight people want to see...another Marquez versus Pacquaio is NOT a Fight of the Century. Bob Arum only promoting fights between two guys he has exclusive promotional rights to is ridiculous. It would be like me having my amateur fighters, only fight each other so that I am always in the winning corner. Thats totally self-serving, absurd and its not good for boxing. It is 100% selfish, 100% about getting the lions share and 0% about making the fights that the general boxing public wants to see. Mike Tyson (who recently tossed his hat into the promotional arena) said this past weekend, ...that stems from the problem where other fighters don’t have the chance to fight the best fighters in the world. Because everybody has their own stable and they’re allowing their own stable to fight each other. Other fighters can’t fight the best fighters because these guys are being protected by these other promoters. It’s not the fighters or the managers that are protecting their fighters it’s the promoters that are protecting their fighters.” Still think Floyd Mayweather or Many PacquaIo either one is preventing their super fight from happening? Think again. Bob Arum is the obstacle, the hurdle and undeniable sticking point.
