Marriage Is an Eye-Opener In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:6 Do you know how many people marry the wrong person because they didnt listen to that still, small voice? The person they married wasnt Gods will for them at all! Of course, once they got married, that union became the will of God. They married because of the lust of the flesh. They said, Look how fine that person is! Look at how much money that person has! Look at how educated that person is! They didnt even take time to pray about it or ask the counsel of godly people; they just thought they knew that this person was Gods choice! I have counseled thousands of people, and I dont know how many times Ive sat across from two people who should never have gotten together. There is no way God put them together, even though they were both Christians. Just because you meet someone at church doesnt mean that that person is Gods will for you to marry. You need to acknowledge God in all your ways and allow Him to direct your path. Love is blind, but marriage is an eye-opener! Father, I need your Spirit to guide me in every decision I make. I pray for discernment to study your Word and pray in your Spirit until I know which direction to go concerning my family, my job, and my relationships. In Jesus name, Amen.
