The purpose of Career Day is to inform students about some of the “real” careers in the job market today and what it would take to get hired. Here is a description of the event: Career Day will be Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at King High School. If you are unable to speak on our scheduled Career Day, we can make arrangements for you to speak to our students on an alternate date. Speakers are asked to arrive at King between 8:00 a.m. and 8:20 a.m. At 8:30 a.m., student guides will begin to escort each speaker to a classroom to set up and prepare for first presentation. If your work obligations prohibit your attendance for the entire Career Day schedule, we do understand and are willing to make accommodations. Career Day Schedule 8:00am– 8:30am Arrive at King/Continental Breakfast 8:30am– 8:35am Speakers escorted to classrooms 8:40am-9:40am 1st Speaker Session 9:55am– 10:55am 2nd Speaker Session 11:00am – 12:00pm 3rd Speaker Session 12:05pm-1:05pm Lunch for all speakers 1:10pm-2:10pm 4th Speaker Session Enclosed is our Career Day RSVP form and a Guest Speaker Survival Guide with map to Martin Luther King, Jr. Senior High School. We encourage speakers to use visual props or examples if appropriate. Please let us know in advance if you will need any special accommodations or equipment. Please return your RSVP by April 11, 2014. This will allow us ample time to make preparations to accommodate you and/or your group for this event.
