Martina Van Norden this took me back to when I was in your 6th grade class. There was one day in particular where one of the boys in the class was acting up and you just stopped the entire lesson. You then gave us all a long lecture about how important it was for young black children to be focused and get an education and what the alternatives would be. You made such an impact on me and I cherish the many lessons that you instilled in me. We need more teachers like you who believe in their students and the potential that they have and refuse to give up on them.
