Marty Schwimmer received some press in commenting on the King “candy” trademark saga for Gamezebo, an editorial and discovery site for games. See goo.gl/cZE7bw. According to Gamezebo, developers whose games include the word “Candy” are getting emails from on behalf of King, the maker of Candy Crush Saga, asking them to remove their App from the Apple iTunes store or prove that their game doesn’t infringe upon the trademark. In the article, Marty advised calling a lawyer if you are a developer who has received one of these demands from King because “[a] trademark lawyer can be very useful in obtaining a coexistence agreement.”
