Marty has more than recovered what was lost when she had her last - TopicsExpress

Marty has more than recovered what was lost when she had her last surgery. When we returned from Louisville, I was back to having to feed her a large portion of her meals. Two weeks ago that was reversed with her feeding herself. Tonight, I smiled as I watched her eat. Neither of us is able to eat bell peppers and her main entree had red ones mixed in. What made me smile was watching her very Deftly separating finely diced red peppers from the turkey, broccoli and pasta casserole. If there was a tiny speck of red, it was moved to the other side of the plate, using her fork. That, of course, demonstrated her eye hand coordination and some very fine motor skills. Even more, it is encouraging for her eyesight. We know she is having difficulty with her eyesight. We just dont know the degree of difficulty or whether it is constant or intermittent. It does involve some double vision and some blurred vision. When we get back to Alabama, we will be following up with a neuro-ophthalmologist. But, for now, I am encouraged! This week, I will be making sure everything is coordinated for that return to Alabama. Fortunately, we already have Dads van and some of the coordination has already started. This will be an exciting week!
