#Marvel Phase 3 Movie Analysis As we reported earlier this week, Marvel has completely unveiled all of their Phase 3 movies, 9 films releasing between 2016 and 2019. These films are: 2016: #CaptainAmerica: Civil War Doctor Strange 2017: Guardians of the Galaxy 2 Thor Ragnarok Black Panther 2018: #Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 Captain Marvel The Inhumans 2019: Avengers: Infinity War Part 2 Now were going to go over Age of Ultron, Cap 3, and the Infinity War while brushing on some of the other characters along the way. Age of Ultron is not to be taken lightly, this movie will seed the framework for all future marvel films, there will be a growing divide between the avengers, Im sure by the films end Captain America and Iron Man wont be on good terms. Tony creates Ultron. Ultron sees himself superior to everything and harms innocents and the Avengers themselves. Cap 3 is where all of the heroes we know will take a side. After someone with super powers bombs and kills dozens at a school, the US government enacts a law where superheroes must make their identities public knowledge. Iron man agrees and abides by this, Captain America does not. Something tells me lathe destruction from the events of Ultron will trigger this. What ensues is Tony and Cap enlisting those they know to side with them and results in an all out war between Cap and Iron Man. Doctor Strange will introduce us to the magical part of Marvel that we havent yet seen. Space races, technology, and super humans dominate the playing field as of now but Strange may lead us to other more paranormal avenues. Im expecting an infinity stone in both this movie and Guardians 2. Thor Ragnarok is what many are assuming to be the final outting for Thor (aside the infinity war perhaps) Ragnarok of course is the end of everything. Thor is a character marvel may soon phase out, its possible that Thor, Loki, and Odin could all die, I think well save that for the infinity war though. Black Panther was the first black superhero in comics, after gaining his powers from a meteorite, he goes onto joining the avengers. These events may be set in place after our two cosmic movies Guardians 2 and Thor 3. Now heres the big part, a huge part of the marvel universe as its been lead up to for quite awhile; the infinity war. Thanos, the big purple guy in Guardians and after the credits of The Avengers is a Titan and basically has been after these infinity gems the last few films. There are 6, the tesseract was what Loki used in The Avengers, Aether was the red substance in Thor 2, the purple orb was used by Ronan the Accuser in Guardians of the Galaxy. These gems come together in a gauntlet, there powers combined can annihilate anything. Theres a huge war in space between the avengers and thanos to prevent him from destroying earth. Thanos motives are unclear but in the comics there is a female character named Death who resembles the grim reaper, she thrives off of loss and death and killing is already something Thanos greatly enjoys. He targets slaughters millions in earth just to gain deaths affection, while Im doubting that will be his motive in the cinematic universe, I think death will show up, maybe in Doctor Strange. In this infinity war we will see everyone: the current avengers, the guardians, strange, black panther, captain marvel, the Inhumans, maybe (and dont quote me on this due to rights issues) even spiderman. Its a huge event and will take every hero marvel has ever put on screen to stop Thanos. After part one well see Captain Marvel, which is fantastic, lets say shes the Wonder Woman of Marvel, and the Inhumans before part two. The Inhumans are a very obscure group that reside in the blue sector of the moon thats breathable, its a little strange but most of us were happily surprised that Guardians became a movie and a fantastic one at that.
