Sarita Devi – A modest Manipur boxer she gave birth to a boy last year but was back at training in few months. Was robbed of her hopes & medals by Indian & overseas officials. She won a bronze in boxing. Rani Rampal – From shahbad. Her father is a cart puller & brothers are carpenters. Her only dream to make a house for her aged parents. Hockey bronze medalist. Khushbir Kaur – she lost her father at the age of 7, her mom did menial household chores to sustain the family of five. She won silver in 20 km walk. Tintu Luka – From kannur in Kerala. Her father is a mason. She used to walk miles through hills to reach her school. Gold medal in relay. Congratulations, Salute & respect for this iron ladies who emerged after battling adversity & did the country proud at Incheon games. Great achievements! Now this calls for a national celebration. Sadly no one’s interested in this cricket crazy nation
