Film good news is just pouring on with each passing day. Film got U certificate from censors. Those seen the film rushes are just praising about the film. Film has got tax exemption from Maharashtra State Govt. And now following in footsteps Uttar Pradesh Govt also announced Mary Kom as Tax free. Official Statement reads, As the movie is based on life of boxer Mary Kom, it will be an inspiration for women of the state. The CM has decided to exempt it from entertainment tax. Mary Kom is a true inspirational sports icon of India of present generation. She fights against all odds, hailing from remote village in Manipur went onto become five time World Amateur Boxing Champion. Also she went onto grab Bronze medal in her first appearance in London 2012 Olympics in an weight category which is much higher than her favourable one. Mary Kom is the most toughest and closest film of Priyanka Chopra till date. She has gone through both professional and personal pain through the film. Film is directed by debutant Omung Kumar and is produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali production house. Film is set for release on 5th September, 2014.
