Mary York recently visited palomino stables. Here is some information about how the rescue has to run on daily basis. Dr kelly is a single mom of 6 kids and runs palomino stables. Anything that goes over to the rescue horses has to go over by a ferry the ferry only runs from 8 oclock in the morning till 530 at night there is no fresh water on the island all the water has to be hauled over as well all of the Hay has to be hauled over all of the shavings have to be hauled over. The rescue is in need of quite a few items. When mary left they had only 6 headstalls to use on the 20 head of horses. They are in need of bridles, bits and reins as well as wound care items. They could also use brushes, combs, bathing mitts as they only had a few of each when she left. They only have a few shovels and rakes so those could be helpful as well.
