MaryAnn Newcomb Wales shared Susan Trotters photo: Very, very true! Jesus emphasized helping the poor. Think about it--He had no home. He relied on friends and strangers for a place to sleep. He ate and drank with the dregs of society. He was compassionate toward children, the elderly, the poor, the disabled, the sick, the mentally ill, the immoral and those the elite considered pariah. If you profess to be a Christian and spout Bible verses, yet dont want your taxes to help the poor and deny food to small children, then you are a HYPOCRITE, and speaking against everything Jesus preached! You dont love and respect HIM, you are only thinking of yourself! If Jesus showed up today looking and acting as He did when he lived on earth, He would be rebuffed and not one of you would give Him the time of day.
